What Does Participating or In-Network Mean?
Dentists who work in-network are also known as participating providers. As a participating provider, our office is contracted within your insurance company because we have agreed to provide dental services at some negotiated rates. This means that if you choose an in-network dentist to take care of your oral needs, you will typically be paying less at the time of service.
What Does Non-Participating or Out-of-Network Mean?
While we participate with many insurances, there are several plans that we are not currently contracted with. This DOES NOT necessarily mean that we can not see you - this just means that we work out-of-network with your plan. If you would like to be treated at The Hamptons Dentist, but we are out-of-network with your insurance plan, please call our office so we can discuss your options.
Insurance Disclaimer
Our goal is to help you maximize your dental insurance benefits. However, when we verify your benefits, it is not a guarantee of payment by the insurance company and may vary according to your individual plan when the actual claim is submitted. Any treatment plan that our office proposes to you is an ESTIMATE of what your insurance coverage will be, it is NOT A GUARANTEE.
Please remember that the contract itemizing your dental benefits is between you, your employer, and your insurance company. Regardless of coverage, your estimated co-payment is due in full the day of treatment. Also remember that dental insurance plans are NOT DESIGNED TO COVER ALL DENTAL PROCEDURES.
As such, our office CANNOT guarantee that your insurance company will cover all services rendered despite our estimate of benefits. Please be aware that if your insurance company does not pay within 120 days of the date of service, you will become responsible for your balance.
